Gangdong Art Center, opened in Sep. 1, 2011 is a substantial concert hall
managed by reasonable operation to enhance the role of public theater.

GAC operates various performances and exhibition,
free outdoor festival in Spring thru Autumn, community arts provided to all ages, and diversified programs including academy,
which makes a happy day full of cultural arts.

  • Grand Theater,
    Han-gang

    The main hall has 850 seats (650 seats for 1F, 200 seats for 2F) in the form of proscenium as well as the advanced facilities for various genres such as classic, dance, theater, concert etc.

    The distance from the end of the stage and the end of auditorium is 18m that brings excellent visibility and adhesive touch and presents excellent viewing in everywhere in the auditorium.

    34 batons on the top of stage enables various stage activities and high-performing performance.

    The device entry and various facilities such as waiting room, make-up room, shower booth, dress room, installed according to the performer's movement provides performing team with optimal environment.

  • Small theater,
    Dream

    This is a black box type theater with 250 seats (basement 176 seats, middle 40 seats, 1F 34 seats) and avant-garde and experimental theater that can change the operation pattern of theater according to the intention of producer.

    The storage function seats gives various stage creation according to the situation effectively and the integration of stage and seats enables close exchange of audiences and performers.

  • Art Gallery, GRIM

    Art gallery (216m2) is located at the first floor on the ground and a space to exhibit various genres of art works.

  • Artrang

    Artlang is the complex cultural space that supports various cultural art activities for artists and local residents including exhibition, small sized performance, community activities. The name was created by competition that residents participated.
